What a club gets
Everything here runs today. Where you can see it on the demonstration club, the link takes you there.
A website of its own
- The club's own address, logo, colours and menu, with a light and a dark version.
- Pages the club keeps itself: home, about, how to join, privacy and terms. An example.
- Pages read well on a phone as well as on a computer.
- An editor for the club's own people: they change the pages and put together the newsletter themselves, without a developer.
A newsletter
- Each issue is built from sections: an editorial, stories, dates, notes and a closing piece, in the club's own order.
- One issue, three ways to read it: on the website, as a printed PDF, or by email to subscribers.
- A back-page almanac for the club's next gathering: sunrise, wind, temperature and rain. More about the newsletter.
Events and maps
- A calendar of the club's dates, which also feeds the newsletter's diary.
- Maps of routes, venues and points of interest, with a photograph and a note for each. The demo club's walk map.
Members
- Members sign in, and some pages and tools are for members only.
- Forms for joining and contact, so enquiries reach the right person.
More than one language
A club's pages can be offered in more than one language, so members read the site in the language they prefer.
